Henry Miller, author

The major literary figure in Big Sur was Henry Miller, who lived here from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s. His former home is now a memorial library and local cultural center. The library has been expanded in recent years and now has more than 1500 items of Miller memorabilia, including photos, paintings, and manuscripts. The free facility is open Tuesday-Sunday, 11am-5pm.
