Born: April 29, 1962, Manila, Philippines. Grew up in a farm community in Niugan, Angat, Bulacan Province, 60 miles northeast of Manila.

Married: 1988 to Adriana Rätsch-Rivera. Adriana is pursuing a Master's degree in Music History & Literature from California State University at Hayward, CA. A classical guitarist and composer, she holds a B.Mus. from the University of Hawaii (1985). Lino has played some of her piano compositions and accompanied her original songs. The Riveras have a daughter named Celestine.

A TRUE Factoid! Lino started college as a prospective Civil Engineering major. As a child he dreamed of being a nuclear physicist, and was President of his high school Science Club.

*For the record, I am not the successful Puerto Rican baseball player named Lino Rivera, who pitches professionally in Mexico, nor the Lino Rivera who is the Founder and President of Change Consultants Inc. in Manila.
